“The Holmes Cultural Diversity Center is the foundation of my student involvement at MSU. Working under awesome leaders such as Maria White and Ja'Qué Moody has put a greater demand on my life to really impact campus with my service. Along with my heart and passion for people, being a part of this organization has caused me to take my level of commitment to excellence, integrity, diversity, leadership, and service to another level. As a Peer Counselor for HCDC, I've been able to make a difference by assisting students in getting involved on campus and providing counsel concerning life issues as a college student. The Holmes Cultural Diversity Center helped me mature and develop leadership which caused me to earn a position on the Student Association Cabinet and to receive The Spirit of State Award along with other scholars. Life at MSU has clearly confirmed to me that life, in general, is all about people, especially at the People's University.”
